Lamar Faison Park is now the property of, and maintained by, the Gulf County School District. The park, however, is still an integral part of the overall park system and the Port City Trail system, so we have featured it here for your convenience.
Established in 2005, the park features two regulation size soccer fields (one of which is often used as multiple youth fields), two youth soccer fields, two tennis courts, a playground, a large covered pavilion with picnic tables, barbeque grills and large public restrooms.
Approximately 8/10 mile of the Port City Trail loops around the park, approximately 25 percent of which is an elevated boardwalk that winds through the trees on the park's east side.
